Power of Twitter and Facebook Won: Abhishek Manu Singhvi Quits

Power of  Twitter and Facebook won and Abhishek Manu Sighvi quits. A scandal which should have hit the headlines of conventional media was completely ignored for no reasons. Conventional media digital or print didn’t discuss the issue even in low voices and behaved as if nothing has happened. What social media users could do? so they took on this issue through Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Last week every Twitter user from India blasted conventional media and Abhishek Manu Singhvi through different hashtags like #Abhishek Manu Singhvi and #AMS. Prominent bloggers, authors took on conventional media as well as Mr Singhvi. For almost three to four days Abhishek Manu Sinhvi was trending on Twitter.

Abhishek Manu Singhvi got the stay from high court which restrained the airing of the controversial CD on any channel. One of the biggest surprise which every layman understood was that why conventional media is silent? Even the opposition party BJP was silent like nothing has happened and it came to every one as a shock.

The dynamics of social media and power of common people took on the discussion about Mr Singhvi and people participated with full courage. Congress also must have watched the conversation on Twitter and certainly derived the conclusion that the world knows what happened.

Must Read: Power of Twitter

Some serious question which conventional media has to answer that why they have double standard? Whom they are safeguarding?

1. Why the same media aired the video of Swami Nityananda on T.V almost hunted him down somewhere in UP?

2. Why the same media took over whole country with the question of morality when BJP MLAs watched some clips in Karnataka assembly?

3. Why same media has completely forgotten to discuss Abhishek Manu Singhvi? They will discuss the resignation of Mr Singhvi or not?we have to see

It is a celebration point of Social Media where a very serious issue could have been completely gone unnoticed. Congratulation to all the 140 words journalist of Twitter and each and every one on Facebook and YouTube who shared.
