Who is The Greatest Indian after Mahatma Gandhi is a nationwide search initiated by History Tv 18 and CNN-IBN. The Greatest Indian is also trending on Twitter in Indian Region.

The Greatest Indian after Mahatma Gandhi is based on an internationally acclaimed format by BBC and the initiative aims to select one Indian after Mahatma Gandhi who is most influential, iconic, inspirational and has impacted the life of Indians.

The list of the Indians who has been selected are from various field of profession like Politics, Art, Social workers, Industrialist, Science and Sports. There are fifty nominees and one person can vote for 10 nominees. The list is extremely interesting and balance. To vote for the greatest Indian after Mahatma Gandhi You have to visit historyindia.com .

The initiative has already generated an interest on Twitter. Salman Khan super star of Bollywood has made a comment that “Actors and cricketers aren’t the Greatest Indian as their work doesn’t really impact lives”. Around 30% of the people are from the area of sport’s and art.

The other day watching a TV Channel, there was a comparison done between Anand and Sachin as who is Greater among the two sports personalities. It is unfair to do comparisons between Sachin and Anand. The Reason being both represent two different sports : chess, cricket.
Chess – Indoor, Cricket – Outdoor. We can compare two sportsman in the same categories i.e. Sachin or Sir Don Bradman, Anand or Kasparov but not two.

I disagree with Michael Ferreira’s views quoting as “Anand Greater than Sachin”.

the greatest human that time was only Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. they did smart work for Dalit and make best Indian Constitution. I would like to mention here that What hell is going on in india somebody making ambedkars cartoon and wrote wrong massage’s. I m great lover of Media but what “Bulshit” Happens with that i didn’t understand. Dr.Ambedkar did satyagraha for ‘Water’ which is free from nature, they took education in bad condition and they are real hero of our country that is why my vote to ‘ Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Dr. Ambedkar is the greatest Indian ever. His was the only bloodless revolution recorded in the entire humankind. It was not easy to overthrow a system as lasting as Varnashram which lasted for
more than 2500 years. This even Gandhi, Nehru, Patel, Maulana, Vinoba, altogether couldn’t do it.

First of all this competition is wrong. How did some of the other country people decided that Mr. Gandhi is the greatest Indian. Mr. Gandhi also was to be included in the competition. It should have been left over to the Indians to decide who is the greatest Indian.
Mr.Gandhi was already decided as greatest Indian b’cause, those people knew that if it would have been left over to Indian people to decide the greatest Indian, Mr. Gandhi will loose the competition. This is the only reality.
