The Lunchbox

The Lunchbox is an Indian epistolary romantic film written and directed by Ritesh Batra. The Lunchbox The film was screened on May 19, 2013 as a part of the International Critics’ Week at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, where it received a standing ovation and positive reviews.[7][8][9] and won the Critics Week Viewers Choice Award also known as Grand Rail d’Or.

The Lunchbox was released in India on 20th Sept and  has received rave reviews from all major critics of Bollywood.

Please don’t think that The Lunchbox is from the basket of Bollywood. Indeed big shots of Bollywood are backing this movie because of rave review it has received internationally and it is good business sense. The director of the movie Ritesh Batra has learnt the art of film making  from New York Film School and Robert Redford.

It is an Indian film made by an Indian around Indian scenario.

We review movie by analyzing the tweets of people who have watched the movie. We have observed that in 140 characters only people tell only truth. It is normally impossible to tell a smart lie in 140 characters.

Emotion: The Lunchbox makes the audience happy and allow them to smile. It has the ability to tickle and tantalize your emotions on many notes. The pace of the movie is slow but it will teach you to dance with the emotional tunes of the movie.

On emotional level one tweet which has defined the movie

@tanejamainhoon: #TheLunchbox is a one of those rare movies that will leave you smiling for long after it is over. Pls don’t miss.

Story: another tweet@TaniaCabral from a user sketches the story beautifully. She tweets “Such a breath of fresh air! Love stories are meant to be innocent, tender”.

Another tweet adds flavor of chilly in describing story #TheLunchbox “wat n amazng story, Wd a pinch for every thing sweetness, love, sadness, humor”

To write a story which is simple happening with common people without any great heroism is extremely difficult. A writer needs to comprehend and execute the craft of the story telling with great astuteness to deliver a story like The Lunchbox which appears to be a treat.

Direction:  Ritesh Batra who is also writer of The LunchBox has been credited with word perfect many times. A tweet from @mohit_Kohli has described the direction by tweeting “#TheLunchBox amazing movie, beautifully crafted thread by thread. Feel Indian cinema is at par with international cinema now.

Performance: Irrfan Khan, Nimrat Kaur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui has received rave reviews from audience on Twitter for their performance. A tweet from @PrithamSadashiv says “Endearing and absolutely wonderful! Irrfan Khan, Nimrit , Nawazuddin are just flwaless! The LunchBox Easily just one of the finest film so far. @bsr_rahul slow but never bothers, tests patience but never bores. Makes you cry and Makes you smile and most importantly makes you hope. #TheLunchBox

I will say that we have not come across over a single negative tweet about this movie. Words which has been used in Tweets can be categorized in an extraordinary positive description of movie.
