Microsoft is has entered in to the next era of Office enterprise by unveiling the customer preview of Office. Steve Ballmer said while introducing MS office “We are taking bold steps at Microsoft,” Ballmer said at the press conference in San Francisco. “The new, modern Office will deliver unparalleled productivity and flexibility for both consumers and business customers. It is a cloud service and will fully light-up when paired with Windows 8.”

What you can expect From new Office.
-Office is designed to respond to touch era. The respond of touch will be same as MS office respond to Keyboard and Mouse. A user can swipe or pinch or zoom to read the document or author a new one.
- Office user can use stylus to create content and access feature. Hand-write a email and it will convert it in to text automatically. Coloring the content and erasing the mistake has now become really easy.
-OneNote and Lync application represent the first new Windows 8 style application. These new application has been designed to deliver touch experience. New radial one menu in one not will make it easy to access features. One note will also a user to take handy notes and save them in cloud.
-In Power Point there is a special feature which for presentation and meetings. In a new presenter view user can view his current and upcoming slides, presentation time, and speaker notes in a single glance privately. Multiparty HD video with presentations, hared OneNote notebooks and a virtual whiteboard for collaborative brainstorming is included in Lync. The touch display of any presentation is enabled up to eight two inch display.
-Office Home and Student 2013 RT, which contains new versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote applications will be included in ARM based windows 8 devices, including Microsoft Surface.
New Office is Social and available on cloud.
Office document will be by default saved in SkyDrive. It will allow a user to access his content on any platform which is PC, Tablet and Smartphone. Document is also available when a user is offline. Now office will be a personalized experience. When user will log in to his Office account , office will bring all of his personal settings and office will start office where user left last time.
Yammer ( Microsoft bought Yammer in 1 billion) which is considered as Facebook of Professionals is integerated with SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics.A user can follow people, documents,teams and sites in SharePoint. Pictures and Videos can be embedded and viewed inOffice. People Card integrates contacts everywhere in Office. People card also includes information from Facebook and LinkedIn.
